Job Description

Description Position Summary:
The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is responsible for coordinating day-to-day warehouse activities and leading frontline team members to achieve operational, safety, quality, and customer service objectives. This exempt leadership position oversees workflow execution, labor utilization, and operational performance within a high-volume logistics environment. This role serves as a key link between warehouse associates and site leadership, ensuring resources are effectively deployed, processes are consistently followed, and customer expectations are met. The successful candidate will foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and workplace safety while supporting overall facility performance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct daily warehouse activities to ensure operational targets, service commitments, and productivity expectations are achieved.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to warehouse personnel while promoting employee engagement and accountability.
  • Coordinate staffing assignments, labor distribution, and operational priorities based on customer demand and business requirements.
  • Monitor workflow performance and implement corrective actions to address operational challenges or service disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, safety regulations, and established work processes.
  • Support employee development through coaching, training, performance feedback, and ongoing workforce development initiatives.
  • Review operational metrics, productivity reports, and quality results to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with cross-functional departments to resolve issues, improve processes, and maintain operational continuity.
  • Assist with audits, customer visits, compliance reviews, and facility inspections as required.
  • Promote a safety-first culture by reinforcing safe work practices and maintaining compliance with all workplace safety standards.
  • Communicate operational priorities, performance updates, and business objectives to team members and management.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing efficiency, quality, and service performance.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education is a plus.
  • Previous leadership experience within a warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced operational setting.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience utilizing warehouse management systems and standard business software applications.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining operational focus.
  • Experience analyzing performance data and driving accountability within a team environment.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check, where permitted by applicable law.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, where permitted by applicable law.
Work Environment:
  • Work is performed in both warehouse and office environments.
  • Regular exposure to warehouse equipment, material handling machinery, and active production areas.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, humidity levels, vibration, and industrial noise.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and movement throughout the facility.
  • Ability to sit and use a computer for administrative responsibilities as needed.
  • Required use of Personal Protective Equipment while working in operational areas.
