Job Description
Essential Job Functions Responsible for customer inventory, receipts, put away and shipping for a specific client. Dispatch drivers and respond to drivers' calls. Notify drivers of assignments and direct their activities to ensure cargo is picked up and delivered. Update data base on all dispatched moves. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations. Coordinate DOT equipment repairs. Generate quotes for new business. Monitor performance against company KPIs. Backup domestic transportation desk. Create and send invoices. Coordinate with other departments within the company. Respond to & solve production problems. Train employees on job specific duties. Make suggestions and show initiative for process improvements. Effectively communicate with clients, vendors and employees daily. Assist Operations Manager with planning and budget process. Other duties as assigned. Other Skills & Abilities Problem solving- identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Client Service- manages difficult client situations, responds promptly to client needs and welcome client feedback. Quality management-look for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. Physical Requirements Talking, hearing and using hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components. Sitting for extended periods of time. Walking within the warehouse and inspecting freight. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Education & Experience High school diploma or GED Required. Four years industry experience required.
