Full Job Description Job Summary:
OPTIMA TRANSPORTATION LLC
is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Line Coordinator to support daily logistics operations and ensure the efficient movement of freight across transportation networks. The successful candidate will coordinate shipments, communicate with carriers and customers, manage shipping documentation, and monitor cargo movement to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate domestic and international freight shipments from origin to destination. Communicate with shipping lines, carriers, brokers, warehouses, and customers regarding shipment schedules and status updates. Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading, manifests, invoices, and delivery records. Track shipments and proactively resolve delays, routing issues, or transportation exceptions. Schedule pickups and deliveries while optimizing transportation efficiency. Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, and customer requirements. Maintain accurate shipment records and update logistics management systems. Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure smooth cargo handling and dispatch processes. Generate reports on shipping performance, delivery metrics, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred. Previous experience in logistics, transportation, freight coordination, or shipping operations is preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation management software. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Knowledge of shipping documentation and freight procedures is an advantage.
Pay:
$23.70 - $26.00 per hour
