What you will do:

The Lead Operator is responsible for keeping the warehouse and block cooler areas in a safe, sanitary and efficient working order. As this position is the last set of eyes to see the product prior to it leaving to the customer they will be responsible for inspecting all pallets of product and the trailers prior to loading. Ensure that all steps to maintain an accurate database for the inventory are taken. This includes verifying the blocks on the pallet, properly staging and shipping the load in the D365 system . Here's a day in the life:

• Assists with the management of the daily shipments of customer orders.
• Assists with the supervision of activities of department employees, and coordinates with other departments to assure production availability.
• Train shipping and cold store personnel.
• Directs the shipment of customer orders as presented on bill-of-ladings.
• Assures proper rotation of products to be shipped.
• Creates load information for customer orders.
• Account for product transfers, shipments, and receipts of cold storage operations.
• Manages shipment and receipt of blocks to outside storage.
• SOP annual review, updates, development and training.
• Works with QA Department to assure the product is shippable to the customers.
• Performs daily production transfers in the D365 system.
• Creates and prints pick tickets as needed.
• Enters production data and shipping data into appropriate Excel files and/or D365 system.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience Required:

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three years food production or production/manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
