POSITION SUMMARY
: The Outbound Supervisor plays an integral part within the organization and is responsible for the warehouse floor's overall output, performance, and accuracy. The outbound supervisor will direct everything that happens on the fulfillment floor. Performance metrics will be measured by company-mandated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position oversees the fulfillment of all pick and pack orders, special projects, and freight orders. Essential Functions/Responsibilities of the
Position:
Ensuring that all employees of the Fulfillment Department are fully trained on all relevant SOPs Ensure all daily fulfillment orders are accurately and efficiently packed. Maintain the team's pace to ensure all orders received are shipped on the same day. Work with the General Manager on special shipping requirements and Queue Management. Manage the daily workload through the assignment of picking tags, status updates, and interdepartmental task changes throughout the day. Monitor Job boards for special projects and tasks. Monitor warehouse supply stock and notify the Outbound Manager of necessary reorders. Work with the inventory team to ensure bins are stocked for daily picks. Keep and manage employee tasks to minimize any downtime. Ensure associates use Workforce Hero and are assigned to specific jobs. Communicate with the WAM any errors or issues affecting fulfillment.
Position Qualifications:
EDUCATION
: A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 3 (three) years warehouse experience. Minimum 1 (one) year managing a team. Previous experience with Warehouse Management Information System (WMS).
SKILLS:
Ability to read, write, and clearly communicate English. Excellent communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills Ability to multitask. Understanding of the logistics and/or transportation business. Self-motivated and goal orientated. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and overall computer familiarity.
