Exton, Pennsylvania Reports to : Senior Buyer Full-time Frontage Laboratories Inc. is an award winning, full-service, CRO/Contract Research Organization operating over 25 state-of-the-art laboratories across the US, Canada and China. Our core competencies include drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics/ pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), safety and toxicology, bioanalytical services, chemistry and manufacturing controls for drug development, and core laboratory services for clinical trials.
Position/Job Summary:
Frontage Laboratories is seeking a full-time, on-site front desk receptionist and shipping/receiving coordinator to support daily administrative and shipping operations at our Exton, PA facility. This position reports to the Procurement department and serves as the first point of contact for visitors while managing the receipt and shipment of packages and laboratory materials. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, customer-focused, and able to balance front desk responsibilities with hands-on shipping and receiving duties in a fast-paced laboratory environment. This position requires regular movement throughout the facility and the ability to safely lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Greet visitors in a professional manner and manage visitor check-ins. Answer the main telephone line and direct calls to the appropriate personnel. Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, courier deliveries, and packages. Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging materials, creating shipping labels, completing shipping documentation, and coordinating carrier pickups. Receive incoming deliveries by verifying packing slips against received materials, documenting receipts, uploading records, notifying internal personnel, and promptly deliver critical or temperature-sensitive shipments when necessary. Maintain shipping and receiving documentation and report receiving discrepancies. Operate hand carts and pallet jacks to transport materials throughout the facility. Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked front desk, loading dock, stockroom, and coffee station areas. Order routine office supplies, breakroom supplies, and other facility consumables. Coordinate meal orders for client visits, meetings, and special events as requested. Provide general administrative support, including scheduling meetings and routine Procurement department administrative tasks. Collaborate effectively with employees across multiple departments to ensure timely communication regarding visitors, deliveries, and shipments. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience & Skills:
High school diploma or GED. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel). Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to frequently walk throughout the facility and safely lift packages weighing up to 50 pounds. Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative assistant, shipping and receiving, warehouse, or customer service role preferred.
