Stone Yard Supervisor

Job Summary Samson Stone is seeking a dependable Construction Yard Manager to help manage daily operations in our masonry supply yard. This position is hands-on and ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, staying organized, and helping keep construction crews supplied with the materials they need. The Yard Manager will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, organizing stone and masonry inventory, staging materials for upcoming jobs, and assisting walk-in customers. The right candidate takes pride in keeping a clean, efficient yard and can work independently while staying productive throughout the day. This role is critical to keeping our crews moving and our yard running smoothly. Duties & Responsibilities Load and unload trucks using forklift or equipment Stage materials and pallets for upcoming jobs Maintain organized inventory of stone, masonry products, and materials Assist customers with loading materials and retail purchases Receive deliveries and verify inventory quantities Keep the yard clean, safe, and organized Communicate with office and field crews regarding material needs Monitor inventory levels and notify management when materials need ordering Safely operate forklifts and yard equipment Help maintain equipment and yard organization Requirements Ability to lift 100 lbs regularly Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Self-motivated and able to work independently without constant supervision Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Good communication skills with coworkers and customers Reliable transportation to and from work Ability to pass a drug test Forklift or equipment experience preferred but not required Preferred Experience (Nice to Have) Construction materials yard experience Forklift operation Masonry, stone, or building supply experience Inventory organization Experience working with contractors or construction crews About Samson Stone Samson Stone is a masonry and stone installation company known for high-quality craftsmanship and dependable service.
