Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a hands-on Shipping and Receiving Warehouse Supervisor/Manager to lead daily shipping & receiving operations while setting up a world-class warehouse and inventory management system. You will manage a small team, design the physical layout of a new warehouse, establish inventory management processes, and prepare our operations for a future Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementation. Key Responsibilities Daily Operations & Leadership Supervise and develop a small team of shipping and receiving clerks. Oversee daily inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Resolve shipping discrepancies, damages, and carrier issues promptly. Maintain a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant warehouse environment. Warehouse Setup & Optimization Design and implement the physical layout of the warehouse. Optimize space utilization to maximize storage capacity and workflow efficiency. Procure necessary warehouse equipment, racking, and packaging supplies. Inventory & Process Control Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping. Create and manage a rigorous cycle counting and inventory reconciliation program. Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track team productivity and inventory accuracy. WMS Readiness Evaluate current data workflows and clean legacy inventory data for system migration. Act as the primary subject matter expert during the selection and deployment of the WMS.
