Job Description At G&L Tube LLC, a division of AeroFlow Technologies, we specialize in creating complex tube and duct assemblies using high-performance materials capable of withstanding extreme pressure, temperature, and chemical interactions. We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor that will oversee the shipping and receiving departments to ensure the proper shipping and timely delivery of all products. This person will work closely with different types of personnel, such as truck drivers, shipping companies, equipment operators, and customs officials and will report to the Director of Production Scheduling and Logistics.
So, what will you be doing as a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor?
Monitor and oversee outgoing and incoming shipping activities to verify items are shipping to the correct locations and in good conditionEnsure shipments arrive on time and within budgetVerify shipping weights are correctly posted, correct charges are applied, and shipments are moved from shipping points to storage areasResolve issues with shipping ordersInspect all aspects of the loading operations to follow warehouse and shipping specifications and to ensure proper use of warehouse space Review shipping notices, invoices, and other documents to manage prioritiesEnsure shipping records are accurately stored in the databaseConduct regular inventory reconciliation to ensure supplies meet production goalsReport damaged goods and any discrepancies with inventorySupervise shipping and receiving employees to make sure all items are prepared, shipped, and received on timeAct as a liaison between workers and management and report on shipping activities and issuesEnsure production scrap is properly weighed for weekly counts and manage scrap vendor shipmentsEnforce safety regulations and department procedures for all employees.
To be successful in this role, youll need:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and execute tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to come up with creative solutions to complex issues.
High school diploma or GED, required. Associates, or bachelors degree, preferred.3-5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or other applicable technical knowledge.2-4 years of supervisory experience, strongly preferred.
Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated leadership and managerial abilities.
