Shift Lead Job Description Role and Responsibilities Customer relationship building/Maintain high customer service levels Managing the appearance of the floor E.g. Machine Cleanliness / Floor Cleanliness / Product Organization Answer phone calls from Customers altering orders Manage checklists & temporary location reports turned in by Material Handlers daily Ensure safe driving on forklifts/ Ensure efficient use of forklifts Ensure delivery times are met to each customer/Coordinate closely with Logistics Coordinator in City Manage overtime approval Follow Supervisor's labor schedule according to needs the floor operations may require (including weekends) General problem-solving skills to resolve any issues Manage cleanliness of the floor and coordinate closely with all personnel (Checklists) Handle employee disputes/Utilize proper dispute resolution tactics Coordinate with the Fulfillment Coordinator on all customer requirements for any of their needs Ensure swift communications (10-minute response time) happen either via phone / text / email/ TEAMS, etc… Communication is the name of the game; ensure Accurate, Relevant, and Timely communication to your team and your Fulfillment Coordinator. Communicate with Fulfillment Coordinator on all machine and forklift repairs needed. Roles & Responsibilities may shift as time moves forward.
