Logistics Operator Lead - Austin, TX!!! Walk-ins Welcome - Apply Today! Position Overview We are looking for a driven, detail-oriented Logistics Operator Lead to join our growing team! This leadership role is responsible for supporting daily logistics operations, guiding team members, and ensuring install crews and service technicians are fully equipped for success each day. As a key team lead, you'll help oversee material preparation (glass, doors, screens, and parts), coordinate truck and trailer unloading, and ensure accurate inventory tracking. You'll work closely with management to maintain efficiency, safety, and productivity across the department. This role requires a hands-on approach , including operating a forklift and regularly getting off equipment to perform manual material handling tasks such as lifting, moving, staging, and organizing materials. What You'll Do Lead and support daily logistics operations and team activities Train and mentor team members on processes, paperwork, and product identification Ensure daily equipment checks (forklifts, trucks, trailers) are completed Communicate vehicle and equipment issues with Fleet Maintenance Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Enforce safety protocols and PPE compliance across the team Verify loads, routes, and documentation accuracy for all outgoing trucks Ensure materials are properly secured and safety procedures are followed (including 360° checks) Perform material handling duties including loading/unloading, staging, and organizing materials both manually and with equipment Frequently get on and off forklifts to assist with hands-on tasks as needed Assist with scheduling, onboarding, and training of new hires Step in to support team members as needed Work overtime or weekends as necessary to meet business needs Schedule Full-Time:
6:00 AM - 3:00 PM Overtime and occasional weekends as needed Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Experience in logistics, construction, or window/door products is a plus (not required) Previous lead or team leadership experience preferred Skills & Abilities Strong communication and leadership skills Highly organized with great attention to detail Ability to interpret work orders and product specifications Reliable, self-motivated, and team-focused Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Professional attitude with team members and customers Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift Lift and move up to 50 lbs Frequent use of hands, arms, and vision Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, and perform repetitive movements Comfortable working both on and off equipment, including regular manual material handling Pay & Benefits Starting at $20/hour Opportunities for growth and advancement Supportive, team-oriented work environment Strong focus on safety and career development Why Join Us?
