Job Description/Responsibilities:
As a Distribution Dock Coordinator, you'll help keep our outbound distribution operation running smoothly by coordinating trucks, drivers, trailers, and shipment paperwork. You'll use our Warehouse Management System (WMS) to manage outbound orders while serving as a key point of contact between drivers, warehouse teams, and internal partners. If you're organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable solving problems in a fast-paced warehouse environment, this role offers an opportunity to make a direct impact on our daily operations. What You'll Do Check in and check out drivers, assign trailers, and coordinate the movement of trucks through the distribution dock. Use the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to coordinate outbound orders, shipment activity, and trailer assignments. Prepare, verify, and follow up on shipping documentation to ensure orders are accurate and ready for shipment. Communicate with internal and external drivers, warehouse teams, and other partners to coordinate trailer loading and resolve shipment issues. Serve as the primary point of contact for outbound loading questions, discrepancies, delays, and other operational issues while supporting safe and efficient dock operations.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Qualifications/Requirements Required High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 2 years of successful work experience, preferably in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or a related environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, drivers, and partners at all levels of an organization. Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP, MRP, MPS, or other manufacturing and distribution software. Experience in the alcohol beverage, food and beverage, consumer packaged goods (CPG), warehouse, or distribution industry. Previous experience coordinating shipping operations, working with transportation providers, or providing direction to warehouse or dock teams. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance and safely perform tasks around the distribution dock. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the warehouse and dock area during an 8-hour shift. Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment and in a loud warehouse environment, with overtime as needed to support business demands.
