This role serves as a working leader, setting the example for performance and safety standards while guiding team members. The Lead also handles minor disciplinary actions and is responsible for closing the warehouse on scheduled days. Key Responsibilities Assign and monitor daily outbound tasks (picking, staging, loading). Ensure orders meet accuracy by order audits, quality, and our standards here at JBBS. Provide hands-on support in outbound processes as needed. Always display the core values of JBBS. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized outbound area. Team Guidance & Discipline Act as the first point of contact for team members during outbound shifts. Over see the loading process, confirming that all pallets are secure for transportation and safety purposes. Provide coaching, verbal reminders, and corrective feedback for minor policy, safety and picking infractions or issues. Oversee and monitor speed of order picking within the routes and customer pickups. A daily order audit quota of 40 plus orders required and turned into the warehouse manager. Tracking specific pickers and issues that arise. Document recurring issues and escalate to the Warehouse Manager when necessary. Promote teamwork, professionalism, and adherence to company standards. Monitor and track selector attendance and punctuality. Watch that brake times are not abused. Assist the warehouse manager with employee reviews, write ups and documentation. Closing Duties Responsible for end-of-shift closing procedures, including: Verifying outbound orders are completed and secured. Confirm with the FZ team that they are good or if they need assistance to wrap up the day. Ensuring equipment is properly shut down and stored. Completing the walkthrough process. Confirming the facility is locked, armed, and secure. Every door locked, every light off unless the night cleaning crew is here or you are leaving before the JBBS custodial staff. Communicating shift status and outstanding issues to the Warehouse Manager when he has left earlier than you on these days. Additional Responsibilities Train and mentor new team members on outbound processes. Assist with inventory checks and reconciliations as directed. Replin and let downs as needed. Recommend improvements to processes, safety, and efficiency Qualifications 2+ years of warehouse or distribution experience (outbound preferred). Previous lead or team coordination experience is strongly preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to coach, redirect, and motivate team members. Skilled in de-escalating situations and driving resolution. Reliable and trustworthy, with experience handling closing responsibilities. Comfortably enforcing safety protocols and company policies. Able to communicate effectively with all departments to ensure alignment and follow-through.
Pay Information:
