Purpose of Job :

The Warehouse Supervisor provides guidance and direction for inventory movement in Distributorship's warehouses' to include loading/unloading trucks.

Job Components:

Supervises the overall warehouse operations and daily activities of staff. Ensures continuous process improvement. Coordinates physical inventory process and cycle counts. Processes inbound receiving of containers or full truck, truck pallet shipments, and small parcel shipments. Operates forklifts and trains the Warehouse Workers on safety of goods and efficient use of equipment.

Qualifications:

High school graduate (or equivalent) Minimumone yearexperience in a lead rolepreferred Minimumof one year experience in a warehouse,logistics,ordistribution environment required . Minimum of 1year warehouse experience including inventory control procedures and inventory/ accounting relationships. Strong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Strong organization and time management skills and able to work under pressure. Working knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing and distribution methods. Understanding of state, federal and interstate commerce regulations. Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required. Have keen understanding of hazardous shipping laws and requirements.

Scope Data:

Works under limited supervision. Mayuse independentjudgment when making decisions. Accountable forgeneral duties within warehouse operations. Operate with integrity and demonstrate a positive attitude. Oversees and guides team members on warehouse processes.

Work Environment:

Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk. Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, without assistance and occasionally lifting up to 75lbs. Exposed to battery warehouse conditions such as exposure to moving equipment mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals. Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required .
