Job Description

Georgia-Pacific is looking for safety-oriented individuals to join our team as a Shipping Coordinator in Denton, TX. Our Team This role is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit team dedicated to safety at our Denton, TX sheet feeder plant! This position creates value by safely assisting with the production of corrugated sheets to be made into printed boxes for our valued customers. We offer opportunities for advancement as those openings occur. Salary Starting pay is $26.00 and up depending on experience. Shift differential is $.75 for 2nd Shift. You will have the ability to increase your compensation based on skills and contribution to the overall performance of the plant. This role is eligible for our Performance Pay program that could offer up to a 6% quarterly bonus. Shift Currently hiring for 2nd shift This may include overtime, holidays and weekends. What You Will Do Coordinating flow of shipping and receiving operations Plan and direct all shipping daily while ensuring accuracy of shipping documents Accurately process shipping paperwork Dispatch work to the forklift drivers on the warehouse floor Managing the workload of incoming and outgoing freight Perform daily proof of billing Assist loaders with questions Problem solving, decision making and multi-tasking skills for a fast-paced environment Maintaining safe work environment and ensure compliance with all safety practices in all business initiatives. Perform weekly and monthly cycle counts to ensure inventory levels are correct. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Logistics, Shipping or Warehouse experience Previous Forklift Experience or willing to learn to drive a forklift Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Experience performing and managing an accurate inventory Other Considerations/Physical Requirements Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment For this role, we anticipate paying $26.00 per hour and up depending on experience.
