Job Description
Position Summary The Warehouse Supervisor in the Applied Sterilization Technologies (AST) El Paso, TX warehouse supervises shipping and receiving employees and functions of the warehouse to deliver products and services in a safe and efficient manner. Maintains communications with Customers, vendors, and internal staff regarding product transportation issues. Ensures that material handling equipment is safe and in good working order through a preventative maintenance program. This position requires working onsite in our El Paso II facility Monday through Friday 6 am to 4 pm, with occasional weekend coverage based on business need. What You'll do as a Warehouse Supervisor Leads warehouse staff by; assigning responsibilities, delegating authority, and selecting, orienting, and training direct reports; coaching, counseling, motivating, and disciplining as needed; plans, monitors, and appraises job results; directs and maintains activities designed to achieve and maintain high employee morale; fosters intra
- and inter-department cooperation.
The Experience,Skills and Abilities Needed Required:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of lead or supervisory experience in a warehousing and logistics position. Minimum of 3 years' experience working in an FDA and/or ISO regulated environment with a strong Customer focus. In lieu of a degree, a high school diploma / GED, 8 years of relevant experience.Preferred:
People management skills. Experience with logistics systems (working with inbound and outbound carriers) and logistics planning. Experience working with MS Office applications including Excel.Other:
Ability to effectively read, write and verbally communicate. Ability to work independently under general guidelines and supervision. Operate industrial trucks including but not limited to forklifts, yard truck motorized pallet jacks. Requires computer literacy to include word processing, spreadsheet, and software capabilities. Effective interpersonal skills as demonstrated through prior experience. Above average organizing and analyzing skill and Level 2 math skill (four basic arithmetic functions in all units of measurement, decimals ratios, rates, percentages) to determine organizational, Customer and regulatory problems and formulate corrective action plans; attention to detail. Ability to adapt to changing duties and responsibilities. Ability to influence people in their opinions, attitude, or judgements; to generalize, evaluate and make decisions in stressful situations.
