Position Summary The Warehouse Supervisor will assist with the oversight of day-to-day warehousing functions at a specific distribution center or cross dock. The ideal candidate will lead a team of warehouse associates to meet operational goals and support the Assistant Warehouse Manager by managing inventory and assigning tasks to the team. This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check as a condition of employment. Certain felony convictions and convictions involving violence, theft, abuse, dishonesty, or breach of trust may disqualify candidates based on the nature of the position and applicable law. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Ensuring timely reporting of loads/returns compliance within industry fair standards and the agreed upon communication mechanism Participates in goal setting and taking accountability for results Enforce company compliance standards Support an environment that fosters open and positive team communication Communicate shift goals of facility; work with and motivate employees to ensure goal achievement; provide progress or constraint updates to management Enforce location safety management plans Demonstrate reliability and commitment to punctuality Perform other duties as assigned (may vary based on client requirements) Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred Experience with leading a team to goal achievement, prior supervisory experience a plus Ability to prioritize and organize work, along with a strong follow-up, analytical, problem-solving, and sound decision-making skills Ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written forms with team members and management. Ability to work overtime (as needed) to meet operational and customer demands Ability to maintain performance in a fast-paced environment Capability to multi-task with excellent time management skills Intermediate computer skills Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Two (2) years or more of experience in logistics, warehouse, or industry-related field preferred Systems preferred WMS experience Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
