We provide a wide range of healthcare services, including sterile and non-sterile compounded pharmaceuticals, specialty medicines, maintenance med prescriptions, vaccinations, clinical consulting services, nutritional products, wound care products, orthopedic support, therapeutic compression garments, and durable medical equipment (DME). About the role:
As a Pharmacy Shipping Supervisor, you'll play an important role in ensuring our patients receive their medications safely, accurately, and on time by leading and working alongside the shipping team. Job Type Full-time Key Responsibilities Oversee the day to day operations of the shipping department to ensure accurate, timely, and cost effective distribution of pharmacy products. Supervise, coach, and develop shipping team members to achieve departmental goals. Coordinates with our shipping vendors, clinical, and customer service teams to ensure efficient workflow. Plan, prioritize, and assign daily shipping activities to ensure on time order fullfilment. Monitor shipping schedules, carrier performance, and outbound logistics to meet customer delivery requirements. Ensure all shipments are accurately picked, packed, labeled, documented, and loaded. Maintain compliance with DOT, OSHA, and Pharmacy safety standards, and other applicable regulations. Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, damaged items, complaints, and delivery issues. Manage relationships with shipping carriers and third party logistics providers. Track department productivity and KPIs Label medications and necessary supplies for shipment in a timely manner to ensure patients receive their medications promptly. Receive and stock medication orders and packaging supplies within the pharmacy to maintain a safe and organized workspace. Inspect all incoming non-medical shipments and determine whether to accept or reject deliveries based on established standards. Monitor shipping updates and respond to communication in team chat to ensure smooth coordination and issue resolution. Review order queues and help ensure all medications are processed and shipped within established service-level agreements (SLAs). Maintain accurate records of shipments and tracking information within the pharmacy system, ensuring all packages are properly marked as shipped. Monitor and report inventory levels of shipping supplies to ensure adequate stock and avoid fulfillment delays. Perform additional duties as required or assigned by management. Ability to cross-train and work in other departments as needed. Frequently lift and move items up to 50 pounds. Qualifications & Characteristics Previous shipping or logistics supervisory experience Detail-oriented, with the ability to quickly detect and correct errors. Ethical and respectful of confidentiality. Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills. Attentive to customer needs and committed to providing excellent service. Preferred Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or regulated environments Familiarity with shipping monitoring and quality assurance frameworks Experience implementing process improvements and shipping logistics optimization initiatives Exposure to compliance-driven environments and regulatory standards Ability to Commute Plano, TX 75023 (Required) Work Location In person Schedule 10 hour shift 8 hour shift Day shift Weekends as needed
