Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Traffic Coordinator will report directly to the Shipping and Receiving Manager. Responsibilities will vary from location to location. The Traffic Coordinator's responsibility will include, but not be limited to; overall accuracy of all shipments, inventory control, contact for customer service, and customer related issues.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Accuracy of all shipments.
- Daily interaction with truck drivers and to get paperwork completed accurately.
- Constant daily communication with customer service, via phone, email and truck log.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff on all orders.
- Ensures safe work practices within the department.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Work closely with warehouse manager to always ensure accurate inventory.
- General office administrative support
- Other job duties as assigned.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES
- Must be familiar with warehouse environment.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
- Must be familiar with shipping and receiving functions.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must be detail orientated.
- Have good organization and communication skills.
- Ability to work with customers and customer service reps.
- Multitasking.
ENVIRONMENT
- Must tolerate working environment with outside temperatures.
- Must tolerate working environment with inside ambient temperatures.
- Must be able to work in a warehouse and office setting.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to sit and work at a computer for up to 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to walk for up to 1 hour per day.
- Must be able to carry packages up to 25 lbs.
