Job Description

The position of Shipping Coordinator is responsible for directing all activities related to daily shipping including; data entry, preparation of documentation, maintains records, coordinates logistics for product shipment, and assisting customer service in related actives, as needed. Key Responsibilities Shipping, Documentation & Logistics Print Bills of Lading and labels. Route orders and assign pro numbers to bills and labels. Separate and date Bills of Lading for drivers. Maintain shipping department copies of Bills of Lading for shipped orders. Complete Commercial Invoices for export shipments. Process PCMiler load sheets for flatbed loads. Audit loadouts as required. Call carriers to arrange pickups. Order Processing & Inventory Receive P.O.s and process them in the system. Complete the invoice process. Run "Available to Ship" reports throughout the day to identify completed orders. Pick completed orders and provide them to loaders. Support, Coordination & Administration Assist shipping department employees with locating hardware boxes. Assist shipping department employees with order-related questions. Assist Customer Service with order status inquiries. File documents and complete monthly reports for the Plant Manager. General Expectations Work effectively in a team-based environment to accomplish company goals and resolve problems. Prioritize and manage multiple tasks throughout the day. Follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision. Be detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks effectively. Perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Possess strong computer skills. Demonstrate analytical problem-solving abilities. Be capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. Education and/or Experience Minimum of 3-6 months of shipping, inventory, or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or verbal instructions. Capable of handling problems involving multiple variables in different situations. Ability to read and interpret documents accurately. Physical Demands Ability to apply common sense understanding when carrying out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to create, read, and accurately interpret documents. Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to manage situations involving multiple variables in various contexts. Work Environment Combination of office, manufacturing Required to wear PPE (personal protective equipment) such as: o Eye protection o Hearing protection o Closed-toed shoes PPE must be worn at all times in designated manufacturing areas.
