Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain accurate inventory of shipping supplies. Organize and schedule truckloads with carriers and customers. Monitor shop order progress to create daily and next day shipping lists. Prepare daily shipping paperwork and lists using computer and manual forms. Pick stock shipments. Close out shipping bills. Communicate with Sales, Customers, and Logistics companies as needed. Load planning for truckload and LTL shipments and Target Freight, and maintain good working relationships with freight suppliers. Attend any productions meetings in the absence of the Shipping Supervisor. Understand the ISO system and elements that affect the job.EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE
Proficient with Windows-based computer applications. UPS & other shipping equipment and processes. Electronic scale.ROLE REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years job experience. Customer service experience. Data entry experience. Must be fluent with ERP system as relevant to position. Excellent verbal & written communication skills. Self-motivated. Thorough and attentive to detail in all job tasks and proactive toward continuous improvement. Perform other duties as required. Ability to analyze problems and find effective solutions. Ability to work with all types of people and operate effectively in a team setting.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
