We are currently hiring Dockmasters to help run our docks and serve our members with excellence at our 11 locations across the Puget Sound, Lake Washington, and Lake Union. The position is fast paced, fun, and incredibly dynamic. In addition to interacting with our members, you will have the opportunity to develop your boating skills as you help maintain, fuel, and clean our high quality fleet of boats. From the moment our members arrive, we greet them with genuine smiles and usher them toward unforgettable journeys on our stunning fleet of boats. And the hospitality doesn't end there; upon their return, we're there with smiles once more. QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED equivalent Must be at least 18 years old Boating experience or love for boating is a plus (we train boat driving/ operating) Ability to perform minor boat maintenance like bilge pumps, fuses, fluids, etc. (we will train and assist with this) Physical ability to lift/ carry up to 30 lbs Physical ability to board and de-board boats dozens of times per day Physical ability to clean boats, often using a handle-mounted brush, water hose, and other implements Physical ability to kneel/ bend to clean interiors of boats/ boating compartments Vision adequate to read/ manipulate hand-held computer tablets, often in bright sunlight Have a personal mobile device for company communication apps (Slack, ADP, etc.) Ability to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity Highly effective communication skills and friendly customer service are required Must be a self-starter and capable of working without direct supervision High attention to detail Maintain a clean work area Control traffic in the marina area and assist members with docking boats Always operate with an emphasis on member hospitality Use the "clean as you go" method when performing your work duties Adhere to all safety policies Maintain a cooperative, team attitude in working with supervisors and fellow employees. Maintain a positive attitude toward the dock and the job being performed.
