JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee and coordinate shipping, receiving and delivery activities performed by warehouse personnel. Manage paper flow and safety programs. Complete customer orders by loading and unloading products as needed. Maintain product stock in the store and warehouse. Assemble products and displays. Deliver products to customer delivery points. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment (delivery truck, forklift, etc.). Dispense propane and/or kerosene. Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks. Maintain the overall general upkeep and housekeeping of warehouse and surrounding area. Serve as a safety liaison between personnel and management. Develop positive work relationships with other staff. Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information. Practice punctual and reliable attendance. Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma (or equivalent). Three (3)+ years' directly supervising personnel or equivalent internal retail experience. Must pass pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment. Possess a valid driver license and maintain a safe driving record. Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities with an emphasis on correctly calculating figures and amounts. Commitment to excellence and high standards especially in terms of providing outstanding customer service. Physical ability to stand for extended periods; bend, stoop and kneel frequently. Lift, carry, push, pull and load up to 60 pounds. Professional appearance and demeanor. Proven track record of being dependable and reliable. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing in a manner with co-workers and customers for safety purposes. Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working in a warehouse and/or retail setting. Product knowledge in one or more of the following areas: feed, seed, pet food & supplies, hardware, fencing, animal health, tack, clothing & footwear, lawn & garden or wild bird supplies. Experience safely dispensing propane cylinders, operating pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.

SCHEDULE

This is a full time, 40 hours per week position (schedule will vary). Sunday through Saturday. Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$18.15 - $24.00/hour.
