COMPANY INTRODUCTION
Manzana Products Co. has been in business for over 100 years and is a leading producer of organic apple juice, apple sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Manzana is owned by Agrial, a prominent French co-op of 12,000 farmer members and a force in agriculture and food production. We are in the process of relocating our manufacturing facility from Sebastopol, CA to Sunnyside, WA. Job Summary:
Manzana Products Co Inc seeks a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and coordinate daily warehousing activities. As a team leader, you will manage and improve productivity, customer services, food safety and operations standards in a fast-moving food industry environment. In collaboration with other operations departments, you will participate in maintaining audit readiness, food defense, on time shipment and inventory accuracy goals for Manzana. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safety o Works with management to develop, implement and monitor programs to ensure the safety of all personnel to meet Company and governmental regulations. o Reports all work-related injuries to upper management immediately, filing appropriate reports and following company protocol. o Actively promotes safety awareness and ensures the continued effectiveness of the programs. o Ensures that regularly scheduled safety inspections and training are conducted, and any necessary corrective actions are taken. o Ensures areas of responsibility are audit ready at all times. Supervision o Directs warehouse personnel to achieve prescribed objectives. o Matches skills and background of personnel to work required. o Works with management on corrective actions and accountability measures. o Directs training programs and evaluates the performance of assigned warehouse employees. Warehouse o Plans and manages the effective utilization of space to meet cost and service standards. o Develops and maintains procedures to ensure the efficient operation and utilization of all warehouse equipment. o Suggest equipment usage for efficient operations. o Plans and schedules for all warehouse activities including receiving, storage, staging and shipping in an efficient manner that meets customer requirements. o Responsible for inventory control, directing procedures to ensure the security of assets and the prevention of damage or loss. o Maintain cycle count programs to audit inventory accuracy. o Operate and demonstrate use of specialized warehouse equipment as necessary; ensure proper scheduling of maintenance for warehouse vehicles and equipment. o Assist management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures; advise of budget-related needs. o Maintain regular attendance and punctuality. Qualifications Experience in manufacturing/logistics/distribution or equivalent required. Must have a minimum of 2 years of management/supervision experience. Must be forklift certified, with recent forklift operating experience. Must have a clean DMV records, pass a background check and drug screen. Must be knowledgeable in warehouse management and operations, including equipment and its proper use and maintenance.
Skills:
Must have good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral. Bi-lingual Spanish is a plus. Must have attention to detail and be proactive. Must inspire trust and build a culture of integrity through implementing processes Must be proficient in software use and MS Office tools, ERP and warehouse scanning solutions. Working Conditions o Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking. o Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing. o Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. o Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching. o Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds. o Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
