Not bus accessible SmartTalent is seeking an experienced Warehouse Lead to join a client located in Tacoma, WA. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader who takes ownership of their work area, leads by example, and holds their team accountable in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and a desire to grow within warehouse operations and leadership. Key Responsibilities Lead and assist warehouse staff with the movement of freight, materials, and inventory to and from storage areas, production zones, loading docks, and trailers. Coordinate daily work assignments based on work orders, manifests, and operational priorities. Ensure all shipping, receiving, and inventory records are completed accurately and on time. Act as a resource for warehouse staff by answering questions, resolving issues, and escalating concerns to management when appropriate. Promote and enforce all safety procedures, security protocols, and company policies. Maintain strong, positive working relationships with warehouse associates, dock staff, and leadership. Monitor productivity, workflow, and adherence to standard operating procedures. Work collaboratively with the team to meet daily operational goals and deadlines. Maintain reliable, regular attendance and flexibility to support business needs, including mandatory overtime. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications & Experience Prior warehouse or team lead experience required. Experience in a 3PL, warehousing, or transportation environment preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail with strong follow-up and documentation skills. Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must be a self-starter with strong accountability and a positive, team-focused attitude. Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and web-based systems. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must be eligible to work in the United States.
