Job Title:
Warehouse Lead - Weekend Shift Job Description This role oversees daily operations in a warehouse environment, leading activities such as inventory control, picking, packing, material handling, and documentation across multiple departments. You guide and support team members, ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment, and maintain a clean, efficient, and safe workplace while working a consistent weekend shift schedule. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day warehouse operations for the weekend shift, including inventory, picking, packing, and general labor tasks. Coordinate and oversee work in the Build Department, including physically moving materials and handling servers, using team lifts for loads up to 50 lbs. Supervise the Kitting Department by using computer systems to maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely responses to client requests. Guide activities in the Pharmacy Department by managing inventory and picking specific materials from stock in response to internal requests, similar to a pharmacy model. Oversee Doc (documentation) operations, using pallet jacks to load and stage materials for outbound shipments and supporting shipping and receiving activities. Use RF scanners and pallet jacks to support warehouse inventory, material handling, and order processing. Ensure shipping and receiving processes run smoothly, including staging, loading, and organizing outbound and inbound materials. Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels through regular counts, data entry, and system updates. Support and train team members during initial weeks and help transition operations to the weekend night shift as scheduled. Promote and maintain a clean, organized, and climate-controlled warehouse environment that supports safety and productivity. Collaborate with internal teams, including the internal Google team and other stakeholders, to fulfill material requests accurately and on time. Follow established procedures and schedules for each department, including shifts in Build, Kitting, Pharmacy, and Doc areas. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a clean, climate-controlled warehouse facility designed for comfort and efficiency. You work a weekend shift from approximately 1:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (Thursday through Sunday), with an initial 1-2 week training period on earlier shifts (such as 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) before transitioning to the weekend night shift. Different departments operate on structured schedules: the Build, Kitting, and Pharmacy departments typically run from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., while the Doc department runs from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You use pallet jacks, RF scanners, and computer systems to handle materials, maintain inventory, and support shipping and receiving. The environment emphasizes organization, safety, and consistent routines, with meals and snacks provided onsite to support employees throughout their shifts. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bridgeport, AL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.25 - $24.25/hr.
