Job Description

Purpose:
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for coordination of the shipping activities to ensure on time delivery. This role is essential in driving the pace of the department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prioritize/distribute pick tickets Communicate with Production/Inspection on orders needed and partial orders Update Customer Service on delays as needed Process Outbound Shipments•Creating Packing Lists, Certs, and BOL's as needed Process Inbound Shipments•Post receipts through WMS, and label inbound accordingly Manage Inbound/Outbound scheduling requests May also help with picking/packing duties as needed which are the following: Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment using various methods, Use of shipment orders, invoices, etc. to determine the counts, weights, or other measures to ensure accuracy in outgoing shipments, Determine proper labeling requirements and affix shipping and packaging labels on packages, Record shipment data in necessary logging systems, Print material certs as required, Pull parts from shelves and combine quantities if needed to complete quantity, Assemble and wrap skids as needed to protect parts during shipment Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations Detects and reports questionable conditions to supervisors Perform cycle counts and bin audits at JBC and customer facilities, recording and making corrections as needed Embrace a team attitude that aligns with JBC's Core Values Accurately record labor and data in MES system Follow all JBC policies and procedures Other responsibilities as assigned by management
Education and Experience:
High school diploma/GED or equivalent 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing shipping environment Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, expectations, and procedures in manufacturing/shipping
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to interpret pick lists and enter information into company database Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken Basic computer skills including MRP systems Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in units of measure; use whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Experience in using FedEx, UPS, DHL online software; LTL BOL Able to follow directions Able to use hand tools Must be capable of being
Tow Motor Certified Physical Demands:
Light to moderate physical effort required on a constant basis Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility for an entire shift Employees subject to random drug and alcohol testing
Personal Protective Equipment:
Steel-toed or Safety-toed shoes required Protective equipment not required but available for nuisance dust
Work Schedule:
Normal Schedule•1st Shift•Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:00 pm. Overtime as needed to ensure shipment of goods.
Work Environment:
Work performed in a plant/production environment Contains any number of elements including but not limited to fiberglass/insulation material, dust, fumes, and noise. Must be able to work as part of a team or independently with limited supervision
Pay:
$19.00•$25.00 per hour
