Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Person to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operation of pouch machines, ensuring efficient production processes, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Schedule:
2nd Shift Mon-Thurs 2PM-12AM •Enjoy a 3 day weekend!!•
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of pouch machine operators. Set-up and/or operate pouch machine as needed Ensure the efficient operation of pouch machines, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting. Monitor production schedules and adjust workflow to meet production targets. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal performance. Train and mentor machine operators on proper operation and safety procedures. Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Maintain accurate production records and reports. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth production processes and timely delivery of products. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency. Conducting consistent quality checks to ensure product accuracy across multiple machines. Working in areas such as Rewinding, Packing, and Shipping as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred. 3-5 years of experience in operating and supervising in a flexible packaging environment. Strong knowledge of flexible packaging machinery and production processes. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
