LOCATION
This is a fully onsite position based in Madison, WI. Unfortunately, relocation assistance is NOT provided. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screen.DESCRIPTION
As a Team Leader, Distribution at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a key role in driving excellence in warehouse operations while supporting our global mission to enable customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. Leading a team within our distribution facilities, you will ensure the efficient, accurate, and compliant handling of critical materials that power scientific discovery. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining direct participation in daily warehouse operations with team leadership and continuous process improvement. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and service while developing your team and optimizing performance. You will coordinate daily warehouse activities, develop team capabilities, and drive operational improvements using Lean principles and our Practical Process Improvement (PPI) framework. Working cross-functionally, you will help ensure seamless operations while maintaining strict compliance with cGMP, safety, and quality standards. This position offers opportunities to enhance supply chain operations while contributing to Thermo Fisher's mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of warehouse or distribution operations experience, preferably in a regulated environment 2+ years of leadership experience managing and developing teams with direct reports Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, 5S, or similar) Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP), including material master data, BOMs, and routings Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team leadership and cross-functional collaboration Experience with inventory management and cycle counting procedures Ability to maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory compliance Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperature environments Flexibility to work overtime as neededPreferred:
