Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will oversee the efficient flow of goods into and out of our warehouse, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, proper inventory management, and seamless coordination with transportation providers. Responsibilities Manage all shipping and receiving activities, including verifying inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and completeness. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and inventory management software to track stock levels, update records, and ensure data entry precision. Coordinate with carriers, freight companies, and internal teams to schedule loadings, unloadings, and deliveries while adhering to shipping logistics and trade compliance regulations. Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and order pickers to load/unload trucks safely and efficiently. Maintain organized storage areas through effective stocking practices and inventory management techniques to optimize warehouse distribution. Conduct regular audits of inventory levels using inventory management software; reconcile discrepancies promptly to prevent stockouts or overstock situations. Support customer service efforts by providing timely updates on order status and resolving shipping or receiving issues proactively. Ensure all warehouse operations comply with safety standards and company policies; participate in continuous improvement initiatives for process efficiency. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse operations with a strong understanding of shipping & receiving processes. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (such as ERP or AS400), inventory management software, MRP systems, and data entry tools like Microsoft Office. Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment safely; forklift certification is preferred. Basic math skills for measuring quantities, calculating weights/volumes, and verifying shipment documentation accurately. Knowledge of shipping logistics including packaging standards, order fulfillment procedures, and international trade regulations. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members, carriers, vendors, and customers. Prior experience working in e-commerce or distribution centers is advantageous.
