Traffic Coordinator and Shipping Receiving (60242) Walsworth United States, Wisconsin, Ripon 656 Douglas Street (Show on map) Apr 14, 2026
Description Job Summary:
As a Traffic Coordinator, you will verify and keep records on outgoing shipments as well as compare identifying information (counts and weights) of outgoing shipments to verify information against bill of ladings, orders, or other records. You are also responsible for determining method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. Position hours are 9am to 6pm, Monday through Thursday and 10am to 2pm on Friday.
Essential Functions:
Communicate with freight and parcel vendors as needed. Carry out detailed instructions as assigned by leadership. Enter data on computer and keep detailed records of shipments. Understand and carry out all written directives in the shipping requirements ticket. Ensure the quality and compliance of product entering and leaving the shipping department. Must be able to create and understand a Bill of Lading, parcels, and issue call tags. Communicate with all other departments and Customer Service to answer specific questions or concerns and coordinate time sensitive shipping activities. Responsible for all data entry transactions. Operate various powered industrial trucks. Maintain appropriate paperwork and supporting documentation. Interface with manufacturing directly to coordinate shipping needs. Operate the meter area manifesting and postal equipment. All other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects. Ability to remain organized and self-directed in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to interface with a variety of individuals or groups on a frequent basis. Ability to work with limited direction and supervision, while demonstrating good judgment and strict confidence. Ability to learn computer applications as necessary for the position. Ability to read, interpret and follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures and other related materials. Ability to learn and be certified to drive a forklift. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong customer service skills. Must communicate appropriate information accurately and clearly as needed. Demonstrated advanced proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows based databases.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED and two years' experience in fast-paced Shipping & Receiving operation Production experience preferred. Inventory experience preferred. Data entry experience preferred.
