Job Description

The Inbound Manager will oversee the receiving, unloading, inspection, and storage of incoming goods and materials. The manager will lead daily inbound operations by partnering with other distribution center leaders to drive efficiency, accuracy, and profitability. This role will oversee the execution of inventory, staffing, and process improvement strategies to meet service and productivity goals within the inbound department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensure timely and accurate receipt and processing of inventory. Oversee inbound receiving processes to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with established standards. Monitor and maintain inventory integrity to meet company metrics. Collaborate with the inventory team on optimal warehouse layout, organization, and space utilization. Recommend and implement improvements to methods, procedures, and staffing to optimize workflow. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure awareness of changes and to support problem-solving. Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate receiving associates. Lead process improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance. Coordinate issue resolution across teams to minimize disruption. Partner with quality and safety teams to enforce safety policies to reduce incidents. Oversee warehouse and security protocols to ensure proper maintenance of equipment. Coach, train, and develop team members through structured training and ongoing feedback. Ensure safety compliance and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Ensure appropriate staffing for projects beyond routine warehouse activities. Other Duties This job description is intended to outline the general nature and key responsibilities of the role. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business, or related field preferred. Minimum 3 years of warehouse or distribution center operations experience required. Minimum 1 year of formal supervisory or team leadership experience required. Proficient in Warehouse Management System (WMS) operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping. Advanced computer proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills required. Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to handle conflict constructively. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, to meet business needs. Physical Requirements / Work Environment The physical demands required to perform the essential responsibilities of this position are as follows. Occasional movements include sitting, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, and working above shoulder height. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally operate machinery to lift items over 100 pounds.
