Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and goal-oriented individual to oversee inventory operations and manage warehouse staff within our Distribution Center. This role is responsible for ensuring products are accurately stored, efficiently packed, and shipped on time. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong communication and multitasking skills, and consistently holds team members accountable to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Supervise and direct warehouse teams, ensuring employee safety is a top priority. Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads. Conduct shift meetings and cross communication between shifts. Ensure staff follows all safety policies and procedures. Thoroughly investigate and report all safety near misses, accidents and violations in a timely manner. Collaborate with team members, peers, and managers to solve work-related problems. Maintains the physical condition of the warehouse facility to reflect cleanliness, efficiency, and organization. Coaches' personnel in the safe work practices and requirements to ensure a safe and hazard-free workplace. Analyzes or resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work issues or concerns. Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet deadlines. Maintain timekeeping records for all warehouse staff. Assist with the management of personnel which may include interviewing, hiring, performance evaluations, terminations, disciplinary action, etc.
Qualifications & Skills:
The ability to make decisions, problem solve, prioritize assignments and direct the workforce in an ever-changing, warehouse environment. Take ownership of the business and ensure the highest standards of safety, productivity, and customer service are exceeded every day. Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure. Excellent organization and efficient time management skills. Must be self-motivated with a high degree of integrity and be able to perform job duties with minimal supervision. Should have good PC knowledge and skills, as well as basic math skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal.) High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent desired. At least one year of warehouse-related experience and 5 years of prior supervisory experience desired.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, pushing, and pulling. Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds occasionally. Regular use of warehouse equipment and material handling tools. Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and warehouse conditions.
