Job Description:

Job Summary Carries out manual tasks which contribute to the carrying out of the project for their professional specialty (road, pipelines, rail, etc.) in observance of the safety guidelines. Main Responsibilities Cleaning and preparing the construction site and pavement surfaces. Keep equipment and tools in good working condition. Shoves asphalt and other materials. Luting/raking asphalt and aggregates. Set-up and take down temporary work zones efficiently.. Optimal traffic control in and around work zones (flagging) crafting a safe environment for traffic and onsite workers. Assist in backing and dumping of tri-axles and milling machines. Handling of hot liquid asphalt and various materials. Remove old asphalt, concrete and other materials using a jackhammer or cut-off saw. Erect and remove delineating devices such as barrels and cones. Seal end joints. Help fill water tanks on equipment as needed. Compact material with small hand rollers and vibratory plates. Perform other tasks as assigned. Education High School Diploma/GED Physical Requirements Required to pass a drug screening and PAT (physical abilities test). Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear). Frequent exposure to loud noise. Regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles. Valid Driver's License and excellent driving record. Road Construction experience preferred. Follow all DOT and company safety regulations.
