Job Description
2nd shift Material Handler Needed! Heavy Machinery Experienced preferred. Position handles materials, transports parts, reads and interprets written instructions from production and shipping schedules. Employee stores and or picks material from exact locations and delivers it to production or shipping as well as performs inventory movement transactions in computer systems. Performs required safety inspections on forklift and other heavy equipment and reports any mechanical or safety issues to management in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Sort, organize, and maintain packing and boxing inventory
- Operate lift equipment (fork truck, order picker, reach truck)
- Read production schedule and deliver correct parts or raw material to production or shipping Stage parts and finished products in correct storage area in warehouse
- Keep up with all material transactions in the computer system
- Load and unload trucks
- Stage and organize bar for saws
- Cycle count bar, sleeves, and tube
- Pack sleeves in sleeve packing cell
- Sort and organize production routers
- Assist production with prompt removal of scrap
- Assist in other areas where needed
- Performs daily OSHA required lift truck inspection
- Report mechanical or safety issues to management promptly
- Work in a constant state of alertness
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Work cooperatively with co-workers

MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, WORK AIDES
Lift truck Computer Overhead hoist or crane Hours worked - This position is typically 10-hour shift with a forty-hour work week. Some overtime may be required to meet production demands.Minimum Education :
High school orGED Minimum Experience :
2 yearsNecessary Skills :
- Ability to operate lift equipment (fork truck, Order Picker Reach truck)
- High school level computer skills
- High School level math skills
