Job Description
Material Handler Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Material Handler candidate for a company based in Cullman, AL. You will be responsible for safely operating cranes and fabricating equipment to move material in a safe and productive manner in accordance with the site's business goals and objectives. Pay Rate $18 plus (based on experience) Schedule and Hours Sunday 11pm-7am / Monday through Thursday 9pm-7am Material Handler Operator Duties and Responsibilities Move materials to and from storage or production area, loading docks, or delivery vehicles by hand, operating forklifts, or overhead cranes. Sort material before loading and unloading. Attach identifying tags to materials or mark them with identifying information. Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs. Stack material in storage locations. Record numbers of materials handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets. Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to materials being transported. Guide loads being lifted to prevent swinging. Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use. Carry out general yard duties. Material Handler Operator Qualifications and Requirements Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Previous work-related skill , knowledge or experience Proficient communication and organizational skills Highly motivated and able to work independently or with a team Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently Job Type Temp-Perm Benefits
