GENERAL PURPOSE:
Responsible for the safe and efficient movement of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods throughout the warehouse and production areas. Operates material handling equipment to transport and stage materials, ensuring production lines remain supplied and operations run smoothly. Loads and unloads materials from incoming and outgoing trucks, verifies shipments, and maintains accurate inventory movement. Adheres to all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards while supporting overall warehouse and production objectives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Load finished goods onto transport trucks for shipment to customers. Move work-in-process (WIP) materials from cutters and presses and properly stage or store them in designated warehouse rack locations. Unload work-in-process materials and paper rolls from incoming transport trucks and accurately record and locate inventory within the warehouse management system (BPCS). Transport work-in-process materials from warehouse storage racks to gluing machines to support production requirements. Perform daily pre-operational inspections of forklifts, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment to ensure safe operation. Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations while actively supporting the plant's goal of zero injuries. Load, unload, move, and accurately track raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods throughout the facility. Maintain accurate inventory records and transactions within the BPCS system. Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized warehouse and production environment. Support warehouse and production operations by completing additional duties and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of two (2) years of material handling experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read general information and follow short instructions, lists, notes, and labels. Ability to complete forms and communicate simple instructions in writing. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to perform routine tasks that require following a sequence of steps in a specific order. Ability to recognize and resolve routine problems within established procedures. Ability to make short-term decisions that impact a small work group or team. Ability to complete assigned tasks with occasional direction and supervision. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain and follow established business procedures and work instructions.
