Overview:

Our client is a manufacturer of steel for commercial building structures. Position Summary The General Laborer supports daily production operations within a structural steel fabrication facility. This position assists fitters, welders, and machine operators by handling materials, preparing steel components, and maintaining an organized and safe work environment. Essential Responsibilities Assist with loading, unloading, and moving steel materials throughout the facility Operate hand tools and basic shop equipment Grind, clean, and prepare steel components for fabrication and welding Support fitters and welders with production tasks Maintain work areas and keep equipment organized Assist with packaging and staging completed materials for shipment Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors Qualifications Manufacturing, construction, or industrial labor experience preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Dependable attendance and positive attitude Forklift or crane experience is a plus, but not required Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks and work overtime as needed #
