Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Worker to join our team in the recycling industry. The ideal candidate will assist in the daily operations of our recycling facility, ensuring materials are received, sorted, processed, and shipped according to company standards and environmental regulations. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, unload, and inspect recyclable materials from incoming shipments. Sort and separate materials (e.g., plastics, metals, cardboard, e-waste) by type and quality. Operate machinery such as balers, forklifts, pallet jacks, and compactors safely and efficiently. Prepare materials for processing or shipment, including baling, stacking, and labeling. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and yard areas. Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or damages. Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Identify and report any hazardous materials or non-recyclables in incoming loads. Assist with regular equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting. Support other departments and perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous warehouse, recycling, or general labor experience is a plus. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on your feet for extended periods. Comfortable working in an environment that may be dusty, noisy, and involve exposure to various weather conditions. Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain one) is preferred. Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Work Environment:
Industrial warehouse and outdoor yard setting. Fast-paced and physically demanding.
Shift:
7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. May involve occasional overtime depending on operational needs.
