Required before starting work We are seeking a reliable and skilled individual to join our team in the Bagging Room at our ice plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality control of bags of ice, including 20lb bags, 7lb bags, and 10lb blocks of ice. You will be trained to operate bagging equipment, monitor production, and manage warehouse cleanliness and organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Bagging & Equipment Operation:

Operate and maintain bagging equipment to ensure the production of 20lb bags, 7lb bags, and 10lb blocks of ice. Report and address any maintenance issues with equipment to prevent production downtime. Keep the machine running and ice flowing throughout the process.

Production Monitoring:

Learn to monitor the ice being stacked onto pallets and ensure pallets are wrapped correctly before being placed in the freezer. Assist in the production of 10lb blocks of ice and ensure all processes are running smoothly.

Warehouse Management:

After morning production, maintain a clean and organized warehouse. Assist in other daily duties required to keep operations running efficiently.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for long periods and bend over during shifts. Must be able to work weekends during the summer.

Preferred Qualifications:

Mechanical Skills:

Mechanically inclined with hands-on technician experience is highly preferred. Experience with maintaining or repairing equipment is a plus.

Robotics Experience:

Familiarity with robotics in production or packaging environments is a plus.

Warehouse Skills:

Forklift experience is a plus. Experience operating electric pallet jacks. Knowledge of packaging processes and pallet jack operation.
