Job Description

Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating in 12 states with over 3,500 employees. We have 86 quarries and 56 asphalt plants across Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio. Rogers Group is seeking a
GENERAL LABORER
for our quarry located in Springdale, Arkansas. The successful candidate for this role will be able to complete a variety of labor and operation tasks in the quarry and crushing plant. This individual will be responsible for plant maintenance and clean-up, and supporting various other production duties. Must have a strong commitment to safety excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
General plant/mine labor and clean-up of production areas, including shoveling stone from around conveyors and assist with plant clean up and operations. Being trained in various other entry level production positions and fill in as needed during vacations, absences, and increased production demand times. Report equipment problems and identify them to management. Light maintenance work and maintain the belt lines. Complete equipment pre-shift report - if applicable. Assist other workers as needed or directed and other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Ability to perform a variety of duties, some which may include plant clean-up, production, maintenance, heavy equipment operation, and other duties as assigned. Self-motivated individual - must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision. Ability to learn quickly. Ability to understand basic safety and work instructions. Must be willing to work weekends and overtime as necessary. Must pass pre-employment drug screen. Plant maintenance experience is a plus. Experience with aggregate operations is a plus.
