Job Title:
Material Handler Job Description As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials within our facility. Your primary focus will be on supporting production lines, maintaining inventory control, and optimizing storage organization, all while adhering to safety protocols. Responsibilities Transport raw materials, parts, and finished products throughout the facility to designated areas, including the production floor, warehouse, and shipping areas. Supply production lines with materials needed to meet manufacturing schedules and ensure uninterrupted production. Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records by performing cycle counts and reporting discrepancies to the supervisor. Properly label and store materials in assigned locations, optimizing space and ensuring easy accessibility. Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment, adhering to all safety guidelines. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following safety procedures and OSHA regulations. Report any safety hazards or equipment issues to the supervisor immediately. Participate in efforts to improve material handling processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste. Essential Skills Experience using RF scanners to track materials in a manufacturing warehouse. Ability to document and track inventory, ensuring ample product availability. Proficiency in operating forklifts and pallet jacks. 1-2 years of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or HVAC-related industry. High school diploma or equivalent. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with ERP systems, EPICOR is a plus. Experience in an HVAC or manufacturing environment. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Knowledge of HVAC systems or manufacturing processes is a plus. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is an air-conditioned manufacturing facility operating Monday through Friday from 6 am to 2:30 pm. Employees must be able to lift and move up to 35 pounds, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch as required, and climb portable ladders. Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required, and good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination are essential. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
