Competitive hourly wage, based on experience Join Our Team Panico Excavation is a family-owned and operated general contractor and sanitation services company serving Southern California. We specialize in grading, excavation, underground utilities, septic systems, sewer and water main repairs, pumping services, and full site development. We are currently seeking a dependable, hardworking Laborer to join our field operations team. This is a hands-on position for someone who is willing to work hard, follow direction, learn new skills, and contribute to a professional team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. Experience in construction, excavation, sanitation, or heavy equipment is helpful but not required for the right candidate. Responsibilities Assist with septic system installations, repairs, maintenance, and related excavation work. Assist crews with sewer line, water main, and underground utility repairs and installations . Perform general construction labor, including digging, shoveling, trench work, material handling, and site cleanup. Assist with excavation, grading, trenching, and site preparation under the direction of a foreman or experienced operator. Assist with the operation of excavators, skid steers , and other construction equipment as skills and experience develop. Load, unload, move, and organize tools, equipment, pipe, materials, and job-site supplies. Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, vehicles, and equipment as directed. Perform daily cleaning, basic maintenance, and care of company equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow instructions from foremen, operators, and supervisors. Maintain awareness of surrounding crews, equipment, traffic, utilities, and changing job-site conditions. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable OSHA requirements. Assist with emergency sanitation and construction service calls, including after-hours, weekends, and overnight work when necessary. Interact professionally with customers, inspectors, subcontractors, and the public when working on job sites. Perform other general labor duties as needed to support the crew and complete projects safely and efficiently. Qualifications Previous construction, excavation, sanitation, or general labor experience is preferred but not required. Heavy equipment experience is a plus but not required. Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team. Must be able to follow directions and learn new skills. Must be capable of performing physically demanding labor for extended periods. Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and job-site environments. Must have a valid California driver's license and a clean driving record . Must provide an H6 DMV driving record printout upon request. Must be able to reliably commute to our shop in Agua Dulce, CA . Must pass a pre-employment drug screening . Must be willing to work overtime, emergency calls, and occasional overnight or weekend jobs when required.
