Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and shipment of materials within the facility. Your expertise in warehouse distribution, heavy equipment operation, and materials handling will ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with warehouse management systems, and a commitment to safety standards such as OSHA regulations. Responsibilities Safely load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment. Operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately pick, pack, and process orders. Manage shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments against documentation and ensuring proper documentation. Utilize cranes and other heavy machinery for handling large or bulky items in construction or industrial settings. Conduct heavy lifting tasks while adhering to safety protocols to prevent injuries. Maintain organized storage areas, ensuring materials are properly labeled and stored for easy retrieval. Assist with inventory control by conducting regular stock counts and updating records. Support warehouse supervision by following operational procedures and safety guidelines established by OSHA. Collaborate with team members to optimize order picking processes and improve overall warehouse efficiency. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related roles within a warehouse environment. Hands-on experience operating forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for order picking and inventory control. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment operation. Mechanical aptitude with basic understanding of mechanical systems used in warehouse machinery. Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting regularly. Prior experience in construction or industrial settings is advantageous. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail during order picking and load/unload activities. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining safety compliance.
