Job Description

Overview Material Handler is responsible for contributing to the Material Handling team's high-performance and engagement in safety and standard operating procedures. Maintains the warehouse operations including stocking, moving materials or stock, maintaining an organized warehouse and its storage system and/or production facility. Prepare materials for production use or shipping/receiving. Will provide coaching and regular feedback for continuous improvement. Duties Read cutsheets, work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs. 2. Move stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, by hand or using pallet jacks, or other equipment. 3. May perform special continuous improvement projects as needed. 4. Safe and Efficient Facility Team Member a. Address and report all equipment defects or maintenance needs to maintain safe and efficient use. Follow all procedures, policies and know the equipment before using it. b. Speak up when observing something that may be unsafe or someone performing unsafe acts. c. Efficiently perform work according to standard operating procedures. d. Work together with other team members to accomplish tasks safely in a fast-paced production environment. 5. Assist with daily cycle counting, inventory tracking, and month end Product Inventory (PI). 6.
Administrative tasks such as:
scanning, filing, data entry. Experience Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics environments is highly preferred. Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, or pallet jacks is essential. Knowledge of warehouse safety standards set by OSHA and mechanical systems is a plus. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and order picking procedures enhances your effectiveness. Experience in construction or materials handling roles demonstrates your ability to perform physically demanding tasks safely. Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse setting is advantageous but not required; a strong team-oriented mindset is essential.
