Our receiving team serves as the first checkpoint for every product entering our facility. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Receiving Associate to join our warehouse operations team. This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and processing inbound shipments of fishing gear. Attention to detail is critical for this position as a fishing tackle retailer; we handle thousands of specialized products from leading manufacturers worldwide.
Job Responsibilities:
Receive and unload inbound shipments from domestic and international fishing tackle manufacturers, distributors, and freight carriers. Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and vendor documentation. Inspect products for damage, defects, missing components, or packaging issues. Accurately count and verify quantities of inventory received. Identify and report discrepancies, shortages, overages, or incorrect product shipments. Accurately enter receiving transactions into our inventory management program Label and stage products for put-away and replenishment. Maintain organized inventory locations and receiving areas. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous warehouse, receiving, inventory control, or logistics experience preferred. Ability to identify and differentiate products using SKU numbers, model numbers, and manufacturer specifications. Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems. Forklift certification is a plus. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout an entire shift. Ability to safely unload cartons, pallets, and freight shipments.
Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
