Job Description
Adecco is currently seeking Merchandise Handlers in Bakersfield, CA, offering a pay rate of $20.00 per hour with various shifts available; weekend work is required. This is an entry-level, physically demanding position in a fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing environment that plays a critical role in supporting daily operations. As a Merchandise Handler you will perform a variety of warehouse support duties that require heavy physical work and being on your feet 90%-95% of the shift. The work environment can be loud, large, and impacted by seasonal temperatures due to limited climate control. Key Responsibilities Hand stack cases of product onto pallets Sort cases based on product description Perform general housekeeping and sanitation tasks as required (sweeping floors, cleaning trailers, removing trash, etc.) Clear jams on conveyor systems and assist with conveyance operations Perform various physical duties as assigned throughout warehouse and/or manufacturing areas Lift and carry items weighing 15-50 lbs, repeatedly throughout the shift, with or without reasonable accommodation Lift 40-45 lbs overhead without a reasonable accommodation Physical & Work Environment Requirements Push, pull, lift, and carry products consistently during long work shifts Constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping Work in environments that may include: Extreme temperatures and humidity Loud or hazardous equipment Slippery surfaces Qualifications & Requirements Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products Availability for various shifts, including weekends (required) Willingness to work holidays and off-shift schedules as needed Comfortable working in physically demanding conditions
