This role is essential in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and management of materials within the warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse experience, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with heavy equipment operation. As a Material Handler, you will play a vital role in maintaining safety standards, supporting shipping and receiving processes, and optimizing inventory flow to meet operational demands. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team committed to excellence in materials handling and logistics management. Duties The Material Handler is responsible for safely managing all aspects of material handling in the warehouse, including receipt, storage, retrieval, and distribution of materials. Reporting to the Receiving Supervisor, this role requires knowledge of warehouse equipment, SAP software, and adherence to safety and hazardous waste protocols, while maintaining accurate records and supporting continuous improvement.
Material Management:
Handle receipt, storage, maintenance, retrieval, and distribution of materials and products.
Supervisor Coordination:
Follow instructions from the warehouse supervisor and maintain schedules with minimal supervision.
Equipment Knowledge:
Possess complete knowledge of departmental equipment and ensure proper use.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow proper storage, handling, and disposal procedures for hazardous materials.
Process Improvement:
Suggest improvements to procedures and customer service practices.
Record Keeping:
Provide timely and accurate recording and reporting of warehouse activities.
SAP Proficiency:
Use SAP software to process and verify scheduled orders.
Order Processing:
Pull correct raw materials, batch numbers, and quantities; update inventory accuracy.
Communication:
Report shortages verbally and in writing to warehouse and planning teams.
MUST HAVE
Candidate must have recent forklift operating experience Must have experience working as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate, Inventory Associate, or Manufacturing Material Handler Experience using SAP for inventory transactions, receiving, shipping, inventory control, or warehouse operations is preferred but not must Should be comfortable working in a chemical manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, refinery, or hazardous production environment. Must have experience with receiving, storing, issuing, tracking, and distributing materials while maintaining inventory accuracy. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. regularly, move heavy materials, and work physically throughout the shift. Should have minimum high school diploma (HSD) or General Education Degree (GED)
Shift Timing:
5AM-2:30PM Weekly schedule: M-F CH1
Pay:
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
