Through access to affordable loans, housing counseling, down-payment assistance, skilled construction training, financial education, and volunteer opportunities the organization has strengthened families, helped stabilize communities, and fostered economic vitality in the region. On average, the affiliate builds and renovates 100 homes in the Los Angeles region each year, ranking it among the largest affiliates nationwide.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles is looking for a hands on and detail oriented eCommerce and Warehouse Assistant to support both our online sales operations and physical warehouse activities. This is a role that combines eCommerce responsibilities and active warehouse work. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on a computer and also working on their feet, whether its handling donated goods, lifting items, organizing inventory and preparing products for online sale.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Receive, sort, inspect and organize donated items, such as furniture, appliances, household goods Safely lift, move, and transport items throughout the warehouse Inspect items for quality and determine suitability for online sale Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment Capture clear, accurate and appealing product photos Create and manage product listings on platforms such as Shopify, eBay, etc. Write accurate descriptions and price items appropriately Monitor an update inventory across different eCommerce platforms Pick, pack and prepare sold items for customer pickup or shipment Respond to customer inquires and provide excellent customer service Ensure timely and accurate order processing
SUMMARY OF JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to successfully pass a drug test, 75 lb. lift test and a background check 1-2 years of experience in Warehouse, retail and eCommerce environments Comfortable with physical work Familiarity with online selling platforms such as Spotify, eBay, etc. Strong attention to detail in product listings, pricing and inventory tracking Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft office, email, inventory systems) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities Strong communication and customer service skills Things to Know This is not a desk only position; you will spend a signific...
