Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Cherry Picker Operator to join our logistics warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating cherry pickers and other material handling equipment to efficiently pick, load, and unload products within our distribution center. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety standards, and inventory management, ensuring smooth and accurate order fulfillment. Responsibilities Operate cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment in accordance with safety protocols and operational guidelines. Select and retrieve products from designated warehouse locations accurately using barcode scanning and order picking techniques. Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to heavy lifting and manual handling safety standards. Maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system (WMS) and ensure proper stock rotation. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including barcode scanning for logistics tracking. Perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure optimal functioning of lift trucks, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo forklifts. Follow OSHA regulations and warehouse safety standards during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries. Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials for shipment or storage. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve overall warehouse operations. Ensure compliance with safety standards in production environments during heavy equipment operation. Qualifications Proven experience operating cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, or similar material handling equipment. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management, shipping & receiving procedures. Familiarity with forklift safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and heavy equipment operation best practices. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique. Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and data entry. Prior experience in warehouse management or distribution centers is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
